Whether from construction, renovation and demolition sites and projects, waste sorting plants and materials recovery facilities and landfill sites, tree cutting and pruning operations, urban land clearing and leftover scrap wood from sawmills and other primary and secondary wood processing operations, we make it our business.

BioMass Recycling Garage is seeking a skilled and dependable Class 310C or 310J Mechanic to join our maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining company vehicles, trucks, trailers, and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to workplace safety.

Vehicle and Equipment Maintenance
Perform preventative maintenance on company vehicles, trucks, trailers, and equipment.
Inspect systems, components, and mechanical equipment to identify issues and recommend repairs.
Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, suspension, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
Complete safety inspections in accordance with provincial regulations and company standards.
Conduct road tests and operational checks following repairs when appropriate.
Maintain service records and repair documentation accurately.

Diagnostics & Repairs
Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical problems.
Use computerized diagnostic equipment and repair tools effectively.
Replace defective parts and components while ensuring quality workmanship.
Respond to breakdowns and emergency repair needs as required.
Minimize equipment downtime through efficient and timely repairs.

Follow all workplace health and safety regulations, policies, and procedures.

Required
Valid 310C (Truck and Coach Technician) or 310J (Truck-Trailer Service Technician) Certification.
Minimum 2 years of mechanical repair and maintenance experience.
Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, brakes, electrical systems, and vehicle diagnostics.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and repair procedures.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

**We have a certified 310 J Mechanic on site therefore, we can also take Mechanic Interns should you be interested but not yet completely certified.

Wage: $27 per hour starting salary

Hours: Monday to Friday am to 5pm

Language: Bilingual (An asset) / Bilingue (un atout)

Education: High School Diploma (or equivalent) / Diplôme d'études secondaires (ou équivalent)
