We are a locally owned and operated small engine repair shop dedicated to providing reliable, high-quality service to our customers. We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated **Small Engine Mechanic** to join our growing team.

Position Summary
The Small Engine Mechanic is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of 2-stroke and 4-stroke equipment. The successful candidate will work independently and as part of a team to deliver excellent workmanship. **Position is located in Shop only**

Compensation **$30.00 per hour**, based on qualifications and experience.
Day shifts from 8am to 5pm ,no weekends.

Diagnose mechanical, electrical, fuel, and hydraulic issues on small engine equipment.
Perform repairs, maintenance, and overhauls on 2-stroke and 4-stroke engines.
Service equipment such as: * Chainsaws * Trimmers and brush cutters * Leaf blowers * Lawn mowers * Riding lawn tractors * Snow blowers * Generators * Pressure washers * Other outdoor power equipment
Conduct routine maintenance including oil changes, tune-ups, carburetor cleaning, and blade servicing.
Replace and adjust engine components including ignition systems, belts, bearings, fuel systems, and electrical components.
Test equipment to ensure repairs meet manufacturer specifications.
Complete repair estimates and maintain accurate service records.
Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.

Communication Requirements: Need to speak French primarily or English at minimum; Bilingualism is an asset but not required.
Required = Experience repairing 2-stroke and 4-stroke engines.
Previous experience in a small engine repair shop, equipment dealership, or landscaping equipment service center.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to read service manuals and follow technical procedures.
Welding or fabrication experience considered an asset

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Good organizational and time management abilities.
Ability to manage multiple repair projects simultaneously

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg).
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Wage: $30.00 per hour; based on experience

Hours: Full Time - Monday to Friday , 8am to 5pm; No Weekends

Language: Bilingual (An asset) / Bilingue (un atout)
